The Parish Council
The Parish Council is made up of 6 members and the Parish Clerk, members reside in Parish of Foston and Scropton and are elected every 4 years. In the event that all seats cannot be filled, additional members, up to the maximum, can be co-opted onto the council.
Each member has an equal vote and meetings are held each month, with the exception of August where holiday commitments make this difficult.
The Parish Council controls all expenditure from the council funds and for the Scropton Village Hall.

The parish council holds monthly meeting at the Parish Hall, Scropton Road, Scropton, normally on the second Tuesday of the month (except in August) starting at 7:30pm.
The date of the next ordinary meeting of the Parish Council is Tuesday 12th July 2022.
